ARE MAMOJA JEWELS UNIQUE CREATIONS?
All MAMOJA jewelery is designed and created by its designer Marion Roux and is the property of MAMOJA.
The jewels on the online store are the unique creations of MAMOJA. Each jewel has been imagined to tell you a unique story filled with energy and spirituality.
My research begins in books and libraries, in museums studying art and online looking for inspiration. Once the theme of a collection has been determined, each piece begins with a sketch. The technical details are then carried out on Illustrator. The product is then sent to the workshop. The craftsmen refine the sketches according to the standards and prepare final 3d prototypes.
The creations are a mix of the designer's Balinese inspirations, her French origins and her beliefs in the philosophy of yoga. A cultural gateway between France and Bali.
The creations are all registered with the INPI and therefore protected by copyright.
WHERE ARE MAMOJA JEWELRY MADE?
Our pieces are imagined and designed in our workshop in the South of France.
The manufacture of jewelry is then carried out in our family workshop in India, in Jaipur, respecting the rights of workers. The choice of the workshop and the craftsmen is determined in relation to the interpretation and rendering that the craftsman wishes to give to the jewel.
The jewels are then plated in Spain, in Barcelona by a gilder who works with ethical gold, labeled FAIRTRADE. The Fairtrade label attests to the origin of the gold produced by artisanal mines, meeting the strictest ecological, human and social standards, guaranteeing respect for miners and the environment. :
- Child labor and forced labor prohibited
- Health protection and accident prevention in gold mines
- Environmentally and resource friendly gold mining
- Responsible management and reduction of the use of chemicals
- Financial security thanks to Fairtrade minimum prices
- Strict environmental standards that place people at the heart of the system
The partners are selected for their know-how and their values. Each creation is shaped with respect for ancestral techniques and respect for workers.
Requiring long hours of manual work, we take into account the time needed to make each piece of jewelry. Each distinctive sign, each irregularity becomes the authentic signature of a unique piece. A work of craftsmanship that requires us to produce in small series and in limited stock. Because they are handmade, each piece is one of a kind; there are no two identical parts.
The raw materials are rigorously selected. Natural and semi-precious stones of ethical origin are carefully selected and certified.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOLD PLATED, SILVER AND VERMEIL?
Our pieces are plated in 18K Gold, 925 Silver or Vermeil.
To give them shine and longevity, we opt for a plating of several microns (thicknesses). You can find the specifics of each part on its product page.
925 Silver: Pure silver is a very malleable and soft precious metal, it is reinforced with an alloy of more resistant metals. 925 Silver is therefore made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals such as copper or zinc. This technique makes it more resistant and less sensitive to scratches. Sensitive to oxidation if it remains locked up too long or if it is exposed to humidity, do not hesitate to rub with a soft cloth.
Vermeil: Vermeil is considered a quality, precious alloy. It is composed of a 925 silver base covered with a layer of 18 carat gold ((minimum) at least 5 microns thick .
Gold Plated: Gold Plated consists of a brass base covered with a layer of 18 carat gold (minimum) at least 3 microns thick .

MAINTENANCE TIPS
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELRY?
A few gestures and precautions will allow you to preserve the beauty and brilliance of your jewellery.
• When wearing the jewel, avoid shocks to limit scratches and not damage the stones or the setting.
• Unworn, the jewel must be stored in its pouch to protect it from any knocks and scratches.
• Do not hesitate to remove your jewelery for household chores: repeated contact with detergents can damage the metal. It is also recommended to avoid wearing jewelry when practicing a sporting activity.
• Avoid putting your jewelry and the hydro alcoholic gel in contact.
• Clean your jewelery regularly with a chamois type cloth.
• Silver jewelry naturally oxidizes with air and humidity. Occasional cleaning with a special cloth will keep the silver shiny and remove oxidation. In order to avoid oxidation as much as possible, keep your silver jewelery in a sealed bag away from the air.
• The patina tends to disappear over time. How quickly it disappears depends on how the jewelry is cared for and the PH of your skin. The fading patina is the result of perfectly normal natural wear.
